This is hypocritical. Why not also kill dogs as well for their fur? you seem to be supporting some animal worship cult, you criticize vegans because they take animals as sacred and we can't kill them but don't see yourself.... literally taking the dog species as "sacred". You feel good harming nature, killing thousands of seals and NOT respecting the indigenous people. You feel proud of fur farming, where foxes and mink are born to die just because of their fur....

I'd agree if you killed stray dogs for their fur.... at least that's way more sustainable. There are too much stray dogs everywhere, while wild animals go extinct. The fur industry made the sea mink extinct.

Dogs aren't natural, besides, stray dogs are transmitting too much diseases and killing people (more especially, stray pitbull mixes).

I'd agree if you would actually support kill shelters.

IMHO, and for the most part, so-called "animal activists" are not interested in debating anything as most are too radicalized and narcissistic for any kind of a rational conversation. They read a web site with phony content deliberately intended to cause hate and anger among those to ignorant to know any different, and then they think they know everything.

Even if they are vegan/vegetarian they contribute to the death of millions of animals every year from annual crop farming, yet they don't protest that and go figure why not? For those who are not willing to engage rationally and want to argue, simply turn tables on them and demand they justify the deaths of animals their lifestyle causes. The only good thing about making them face the truth is seeing their reaction, and it's the same reaction that a vampire makes when they have to face a crucifix.

Alan, I believe you handled that phone conversation quite well. You did the best you could under the circumstances, caught off guard, fish in the oven, hunger pains, and wouldn't you know it, supper time when phone solicitors show up.

But it does get nauseating quite tiring after awhile, especially when we've all been on defense for the last 40 years. I had a lady client come into the store one day and she was looking for some skins to make a small area rug/ carpet. I was with her for nearly an hour assisting in her decision. She liked everything, I suggested "well, what about these nice skins? They come in different colours, they are well wearing, and low pile" What are they ? she replied . I said, Seal Skins. The clients reply was " oh god know, I'm totally against using seal, I'm a child of the 70's and besides they're baby seals, killed and tortured by a horrible killing stick." Against my better judgement and duty to the industry of informing this lady of the facts, I said to myself, '"why bother" All of us are fatigued.
