As a 30-year-old white girl I find this trend unbelievably disturbing. So many of us are trying to get back in touch with our pre-Christian ancestral roots. To remember a simpler time when we were still connected with the world around us. I’ve spent my whole life using Fur to craft all sorts of things. It’s part of who I am frankly. And it’s devastating to think that who I am is now being treated at the same as beating a dog with a stick. I would never heard an animal. I was homeless all for the sake of keeping an animal alive for six months. In the end I failed but I gave it my all. I can’t honestly say I don’t think these activists have ever done that for an animal-sacrifice a place to sleep for another life.

In reply to Jaclyn. Regardless of how you view the outcome, the behavior of the BC government in this case was shocking. If the voting public really knew what happened here, the politicians and bureaucrats who helped perpetrate this disgrace would all be out of jobs. This was no way to run a democratically elected government.

Thank you for sharing your story. My Great Grandfather, Benjamin Isaac Rayner Sr, and Great Great Grandfather Silas Rayner were also part of the Big Six Combine. I think it is interesting to know that my relatives played such a big part in the fox farming industry in PEI.
