You may want to know that Schumacher furs, the oldest fur company in America, established 1895, which closed its doors and most of its operations in 2007 due to animal rights terrorism, is now back in business. This is Gregg Schumacher, the owner, and I’m watching Schumacher furs right now. It’s reopening across America. I am overwhelmed with interviews nationally and locally as people want to hear the story. I’m promoting the fur industry and how fur’s sustainable, and fake furs are petroleum-based and made from plastics. I’m telling everyone that fur’s back, especially among the younger generation but in all ages, and people are sick and tired of the animal rights movement and its intimidation and harassment strategies. I wonder if your dad was the same Ed Kania that my father, Willard Mathers, visited in Winslow, B.C. at least a couple of times back inn the late 1960s. I happened to come across a letter dated May 6, 1970 at our summer cabin in the Adirondack Mountains in upstate New York that I believe your dad wrote to my dad, and in it, he tells of all the trapping and hunting that he and your mom Lydia did that year! Your mom bagged (is that the right word?!) a 190 lb. Rocky Mt. goat and your dad mounted the head. Anyway, I recall my dad talking fondly about your parents, and I know there was a part of my dad that really coveted your parents’ lifestyle. I also have a piece of wood approx. 9″ x 12″on which there is a photo laminated of a barefooted young boy fishing with his collie dog. Maybe that is you!

As a 30-year-old white girl I find this trend unbelievably disturbing. So many of us are trying to get back in touch with our pre-Christian ancestral roots. To remember a simpler time when we were still connected with the world around us. I’ve spent my whole life using Fur to craft all sorts of things. It’s part of who I am frankly. And it’s devastating to think that who I am is now being treated at the same as beating a dog with a stick. I would never heard an animal. I was homeless all for the sake of keeping an animal alive for six months. In the end I failed but I gave it my all. I can’t honestly say I don’t think these activists have ever done that for an animal-sacrifice a place to sleep for another life.

If the voting public really knew what happened here, the politicians and bureaucrats who helped perpetrate this disgrace would all be out of jobs. This was no way to run a democratically elected government.
