And yet, the World Conservation Strategy promotes the responsible and sustainable use of plants and animals. So you are completely out of synch with most respected conservation principles. Furthermore, the populations of many species, including coyotes, would have to be managed even if we didn’t use fur. And fur, of course, represents only a tiny part of human use of animals. So now we also see animal activists campaigning against eating meat and dairy, important medical research, and even keeping pets. You may feel strongly about your opinions, but does that give you a right to impose them on everyone else? Would you like carnivores — or people with different religious beliefs — to impose their convictions onto you? A better way to a peaceful society is to foster mutual respect, especially with those who hold different beliefs.
