Kaileigh Russell is a fourth-generation trapper from Timmins, Ontario. Professionally, she works in the communications industry, while her motivation to trap comes from her love of wildlife conservation, environmental management and family tradition. Since receiving her trapper’s license in 2012, she has been working the same trapline her family has worked since the 1930s. As of 2018, she is a member of the Timmins Fur Council, co-founded (as the Timmins Trappers Association) in 1968 by her grandfather, Bill Russell.
