In reply to <a href="https://www.truthaboutfur.com/a-year-on-a-mink-farm-part-3-growing-up/#comment-97795">I hate consumerism</a>.

You seem to be confused. For example, you say "consumerism is bad", but we all do it. The computer you are using to post this comment is a perfect example of consumerism, as is your use of electricity to power that computer. What you are probably trying to say is "unnecessary" or "excessive" consumerism, a sentiment with which most people would agree.

Another indicator that you are confused is that you suggest we use mink to catch rats, fish, muskrat and nutria. All those rats, fish, muskrat and nutria would probably disagree.

I hate fashion. It's useless, unnecessary, and consumerism is bad.

You wouldn't breed dogs to kill them for fur, right? Then why minks? When minks have a way more better use for humans: ratting, fishing, and hunting muskrats and invasive nutrias.

We don't need a mink coat to survive a cold night when we already have wool coats and cotton coats. Mink coats are pure fashion.

Who wears mink coats nowadays? The misinformed Easterners (fur is a booming industry in Middle East rich Asian countries like Japan, Singapore, South Korea, but it's because they don't know the fact a mink has to get killed for fur, as mink is though of a "natural" material)

This can't be justified in a modern society. Fur is for the Stone age. Enough is enough with consumerism (I prefer minimalist, modest clothes made by independent companies!)
